I’m glad to see that the genius?s in Hollywood decided to give us the viewing public a movie that we really needed. You know with all the remakes and formula movies out there, all the bad sequels and the good cop, bad cop movies, this next movie coming out is one that everyone should go see this December. This movie is going to break the mold. Hell I?m surprised that Hollywood hasn?t done a movie like this before, there was a giant void in all our lives.
We?ve had high school football movies, we?ve had a glut of cheerleader movies, but something was missing; but where are the marching band movies they are nowhere to be seen that?s where. Thankfully this oversight has been corrected, this December we will have the movie Drumroll about a crappy inner-city marching band that will probably become good because the new kid will inspire them and they will win an award. Not since the Musicman has there ever been a marching band movie that wasn?t an inspiration to us all.
Come on Hollywood get some new ideas.

Don’t get the wrong idea from this, but most cops drive me fucking nuts. Shouldn’t police officers be setting the example on how people should drive?
This morning on my way into work I watched a California Highway Patrol Officer drive like a fucking prick in a BMW. This officer of the law was changing lanes with out using his turn signals He was driving 15 mph faster the traffic. He would drive up on the rear of another car and intimidate them to move out of his way. He had no emergency lights on and traffic was flowing smoothly so he wasn’t on the way to an accident. He was probably on his way to the doughnut shop because a fresh batch was coming up. If I had been driving like him I would have been given a ticket for failure to signal, speeding, following to closely , and unsafe driving.
I believe that police officers should be held to a higher standard of driving and set the example of their authority. I know of officers that had tickets waived because they flashed their badge. I think this is pure bullshit. They should be getting the ticket because they are the ones that enforce the law Every time one of these officers gets off and then the next day writes up a ticket to a motorist for the same thing he did; I feel that the officer is a fucking hypocrite and shouldn’t write the ticket. It’s the whole do as I say don’t do as I do attitude.
Now I’m not saying abolish the police or anything like that, but I feel that these officers need to be held a to higher standard if they are going to enforce the law. If I’m going to be held accountable for my actions by the police, then they need to be held accountable for their actions by their peers in their own field of work.
And no I wasn’t pulled over it just an observation.

Taken from the Red Dwarf Website
The first series of Red Dwarf launches on shiny disc.
For some the wait has been harder than Rimmer’s eight astro-navigation exams, but November 4th is finally here. Red Dwarf Series I is in shops everywhere on DVD – and we’re here to tell ya, it’s a corker of a release.
Currently out in Regions 2 and 4, this two-disc set is packed with extras. Cast commentaries, deleted scenes, outtakes, trailer, featurette, plus brand new documentary, and a whole load more appear on the bonus features disc. You can get full details on al the extras – along with a full behind the scenes account of the making of the discs
Stateside fans in Region I should also stay tuned to DVD Details, where we’ll be profiling the American discs as they approach the February release date.
Bizarrely, there is one area set to obtain all eight series on DVD during 2003. As part of the mounting Dwarf-mania in the area, Japan will be having all the series, released in two blocks of four, on the shelves next year.
The dubbed Japanese discs will not contain any of the additional material or animated menus planned for the English language versions. More news as we have it – in the meantime, check out the Japanese version of The End on the DVD. It’s an unforgettable experience!

Every so often I come across a link that seems just a little wrong or off. Today is no different.
