Just got home from a Halloween party in S.F. and it was pretty cool.
I went with Graham and Gina and Katherine who went as Booga, Tank Girl and Jet. All three looked great and Graham was over the top.
I went as one of the Bluemen from the Blueman group. And I looked fucking sic if I don’t say myself. It was easier to put on the makeup then it was to take it off. I had it on in under 10 minutes but it took 45 minutes to remove it all. Oh well since I looked so good it was the price I had to pay.
Once Graham sends me the photos I will post one of myself in costume.

Ok I’m going to go be ubergeek and I’m going to go to the Walnut Creek Apple store tonight and pick up my copy of Panther OS 10.3.
yes I’m being a complete geek about it, but hey they are going to give away some free stuff, and you know what they say… Free Stuff is the Best Stuff.
But I’m not going to be the only one geeking out since EEE is going to hang down there with me. Among the countless other mac zealots that need to get their hands on a copy of Panther.

Well I found out that my surgery should be taking place sometime between 11-14 to 11-22.
Knowing my luck it’s going to be 10-22 so I will probably be stuck in the hospital on my birthday and probably through Thanksgiving I;m told the hospital stay is anywhere between 4 and 7 days. I did ask the most important question to my surgeon “when will I be able to snowboard?” Well if things go well I should be able to ride by the end of December. So I’ll only miss a month of riding if things go well.

It’s that time of year again.
Summer is supposed to over but WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? I am so sick of this warm weather. It’s supposed to start getting cold and rainy but no it’s currently 92 degrees.
I’m starting to visualize my first runs for this season. My need to go riding is increasing hour by hour. After how good my season ended in April I’m looking to continue my rediscovery of how much I used to love to ride the half-pipe. In fact I found a place that does off-hill trampoline training for 7 weeks to help increase your awareness of gravity on a board and how to grab and get better rotations. It starts in 2 weeks and is 2 bills. The only problem is that is on Wednesday nights from 8-10 so I might have to talk with the my showtalker partners and see if we can push the show out one night so I can take this class.
But depending on when I have to have my surgery I might have to wait until the January session.
So far for gear this year I’ve picked up a new helmet for this season. My old one was starting to get stinky and you really can’t clean them. The new one is basically the same except that Giro has added earphones to the new audio line of Helmets.
Next on the list is a new snowboard and the Burton Mission Greed bindings. Not sure which board I want yet but I think it’s going to be between a Never Summer or a Burton.

There has been an increasing amount of spamming going on in the comments of bloggers around the net.
I have installed a plugin by Jay Allan to help keep your comments from getting spammed. I’ve noticed a couple in my own blog so I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until everyone else starts getting them.
Just as a FYI the spammers are using the comments of blogs for two main reasons. One it’s another way for you to see their crap, and two it will get them listed higher in google and other search engines. These damn spammers need a bullet in the head, in my humble opinion.
I’m so sick of having to be so reactive in fighting these worthless pieces of shit. I have but hundreds of email filters and I have Spam assassin running on my mail server. I’m down to about 5- 10 spams a day but it’s annoying that they are getting around Spam assassin. My spam folder which catches it all so I can make sure that important emails don’t get deleted by mistake can be anywhere from 20 spams a day to 100+. So now having to keep an eye on the blog comments is just one more thing that I have to monitor to keep those fuckers from using my bandwidth to promote their crap.
Ok time to end this rant and go back to work. Damn Night shifts
