Ok here are the photos of my removed colon. I have placed them in the extended entry since some people might be grossed out.

I apologize for the quality but they are scans of Polaroid’s take the day of my surgery.

Enjoy, make sure to eat first before looking.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been kinda out of it go figure. Between being cut open and the pain killers I haven’t been able to concentrate on anything. I’m starting to feel a bit better over all but until the staples come out I won’t feel normal. They come out tomorrow so starting tomorrow afternoon I should start really feeling better.

I still have 3 weeks to go of light duty though I’m not allowed to lift anything over 15 pounds. I find it amazing though how many things required the use of your lower abs. From standing to coughing, hell I coughed the other day and I felt like I was going to die.

I have to look at the bright side I stepped on the scale today and I’m down to 199. Now the hard part is going to be keeping the weight off and staying healthy, but hey I’m going to do my damnedest to maintain where I’m at.

    Ok enough for now.

Well after a few intense days I’m home from the hospital.

Everything went well and I’m short about 7 inches of colon(don’t worry I have photos they will go up soon enough). Thanks to everyone that came out or called me while I was laid up believe me it helps a lot to know that I friends that care enough to drive out or at least pick-up the phone.

Anyhow I’m go to go back to recouping, they opened me up a fish to gutted and I have 25 staples that are holding me shut.

Well after my last blog, Grog and I went over to Lake Tahoe Pizza and enjoyed a pizza and some beer. We also warned the waitress (Angel) that were were coming back with a group in February. After food it was time to hit the hot tub at the Super 8 and my mussels needed it.

This morning we hit Ernie’s for breakfast (no LyE I didn’t have the Mountain Man), and found out that they are moving on Dec 1st to a new location. They will be across the street from LTP. It looks like they built a custom building for themselves and the owner now owns the build and isn’t renting like they are now. The waitress seemed pretty stoked about the move.

After breakfast we moved on to Kirkwood, it was snowing on the way up and there were chain controls in effect, that’s why I drive a 4WD Tahoe. After watching some dumb people on the road we made it to the parking lot. I had to go pick up my Sugar-Wood season pass, long line for pass holders to get their passes.

We finally made it on to the hill and my god a POWDER DAY on opening day. I’ve never been that lucky. I decided to pull out the Custom X and ride that and my god that board is FUCKING bad ass. It rode through the cut up powder like a hot knife through butter. The hardest part of riding today was the flat lighting of the runs so you get surprised by small rollers that would try and throw you off balance.

It snowed all day long today and Grog and I ended up riding about 3 hours before our legs were just screaming, powder riding takes a lot out of you. Also the weather was starting to get worse and we were starting to get some white-out conditions and riding in a white-out is not safe.

So now I’m home and I’m on my way to the gym to go sit in the hot-tub and sauna.

Well today was a fun day of riding.

Alpine Meadows opened, but only had the Kangaroo lift in operation which was a bit of a bummer. Well one lift is better then no lifts at all. Over all the conditions weren’t too bad for early season. There was decent coverage and they had a bunch of rails and jumps setup.

Now I wasn’t riding the rails but I did jump a couple times and I took a bad spill on the table top which I wasn’t really trying to jump I was doing a speed check and I ended up landing on my ass hard. I think I might have bruised my tailbone, if I didn’t all I know is the my ass is sore from the hard landing. It didn’t stop me from riding the rest of the day. In fact we rode from 9am until about 2pm, so not shabby for a first day.

I rode my Never Summer Evo today and to my surprise it is a lot stiffer then I thought it was going to be. I also rode in my Burton Misson Greed bindings and my god they rocked. The new toe cap front strap kept my feet from hurting, I might have to return my P1 HD’s and get another set of Greed’s or the new Mission OLS limited edition bindings. I prolly won’t but if I don’t like the feel of the P1 HD’s they will go on ebay.

Well it’s time to go wake up the Grog and head on down to Lake Tahoe Pizza, I’m starving.

    Tomorrow it’s off to Kirkwood.
